Aeternus es una banda de Dark/Black/death Metal formada por el vocalista/guitarra Ares en 1993 en la ciudad de Bergen, Noruega.Aeternus es reconocido como uno los creadores del metal extremo que se define mejor como Dark Metal, rapido,agresivo,intenso y brutal pero en partes calmado y totalmente armonico.Las letras de las canciones son tan obscuras como su musica,pasando por atmósferas de guerreros, batallas y poderes místicos de la naturaleza.
